Feb 2006 - Vacancy Victorious!!!

Vacancy Victorious

A great day for Vacancy who won our CS Tournament in great style. Many thanks
to all the Teams who entered and made this our best CS Tourney yet!

We had 11 Teams entered and we kicked off at 12:30 sharp with our usual
afternoon League with every team playing every other team once.
After a tense afternoon of top League matches we had our four teams
for the Semi-Finals & our two teams for the Junior Final.

The Semi-Finals - Super-Breasts Vs. Bedhair Galore Factory Team saw Super Breast win in style with a 11-8 victory and go on to the Final.

OMG - What a Round - 'One on One's' - The 2Die4 Vs. Vacancy semi ended in a draw with a score of 2 all. Extra time of 5 mins was played each way and again resulted in another draw. Time for our 'One on One' shoot-out's with each team going one-on one, desert eagles only, played on de_dust at the under-pass. Again this resulted in ANOTHER draw, 2 kills each. Finally it was time for the Team Captains to sort it out 'like men' with a 'One on One' pistol round and it was tense, very tense... Well done to Vacancy who eventually won and well done to 2Die4 for the most entertaining semi in ages. What a great game....

The Junior Final

The best two Junior Teams played their own Final and this saw The Untouchables beat The BB's 6 - 4. Well done boys.

The Final:

Superbreasts Vs. Vacancy saw SB's play as T's first and they scored 2 points. In a matter of minutes Vacancy secured victory with 3 rounds and it was all over...

Vacancy (Left) Super Breasts (Right) having a face off!

Once again, many many thanks to all teams who entered and made this a Tournament to remember....

Sun 1st Feb 2004 - ATI CS Tournament Report & Results

Well done to - Adam, Alex, Luke & Kyle - SaS

What an excellent and very long day it was for all - 43 teams - 172 gamers around the UK battling it out to see which team was to walk away with the £1000 first prize from our sponsors ATI. 11 am we opened our doors and all Centers had a good hour of LAN warm-ups. Matches were played 12 rounds max over each teams choice of map, 48 rounds in total. 1pm saw the start of our quarter final knock-out rounds with some very disappointed teams going home by 2:30. By 3.30pm the semi finals kicked off and it become clear that we had some seriously good 'Pro' teams taking part. On to the Finals and the following teams made it through from each Center.

Center Finalists

Calcimine - Wireworld Ashford
An idiot Named - Wireworld Bournemouth
SaS - Wireworld Ealing
The Lee Harvey Oswalds - Wireworld Liverpool
Landed - Wireworld Radstock
Love - Wireworld Rayleigh
Xor - Wireworld Rayleigh
MAOMD - Wireworld Southend

Running about 1 hour late and with tension running high we started the on-line quarter finals on our 4 jolt servers. Once again the calibre of game play could only be described as 'amazing'. However, as in any tourney only the best would get through to the semi finals and we saw the following teams go through in some of the closest & best matches seen yet.

On-Line Quarter Final Winners

Love - Wireworld Rayleigh
SaS - Wireworld Ealing
Xor - Wireworld Rayleigh
An idiot Named - Wireworld Bournemouth

So with time now well against us we started the Semi Finals. We thought that the Quarter final matches were close, but the Semi Finals were even closer, a testament to the quality of the teams playing.

On-Line Semi Final Winners

SaS - Wireworld Ealing
Love - Wireworld Rayleigh

At last it was time for the Final & the play-off for third place. After 24 rounds (half way through) it was level pegging in both matches and again tension was off the scale! Eventually though SaS playing from Wireworld Ealing pulled it off and walked away with the £1000 first prize from our Sponsors ATI.

Final Results

First Prize of £1000 went to the boys playing in Wireworld Ealing, SaS.
Second Prize of £400 went to Love, playing in Wireworld Rayleigh
Third prize of £100 went to Xor, playing in Wireworld Rayleigh.

Many thanks to all who entered and to ATI for their generous Sponsorship of our Events.
